General Rules
1. No children under the age of 13 shall be left at the pool without supervision of an accompanying adult.
Exceptions can be made for children over the age of 10 if they pass a swimming test administered by the pool manager and the parents sign a consent form. If the child for whom an exception was made is asked to leave the pool due to disciplinary reasons, this person will then lose their exception status for the remainder of the season.
2. No outside food or beverage is allowed in the pool area.
3. Please limit all personal phone calls on the phone provided by Hunting Hills Country Club to two minutes.
4. Hunting Hills Country Club is not responsible for any personal items lost or stolen.
5. Employees, and only employees, are allowed in the guard room. If a member needs to access the lost and found in the guard room, ask a lifeguard on duty or the pool manager.
Health and Safety
1. There shall be absolutely no running on the pool deck. Running is only permitted in the grassy areas of the pool area.
2. Members are allowed to swim only when a lifeguard is on duty.
3. No general swimming during AM practice.
4. Lap swimmers may use kickboards and other swimming equipment for swimming only in the designated lanes.
5. No climbing on life guard stands or towers. No hanging or sitting on the lane lines in the pool.
6. All persons are prohibited from diving into any areas of the pool in which the marked depth is 3 _ feet or less.
7. Any person suspect of contagious diseases, open wounds, or infectious conditions shall not be allowed to swim in the pool.
8. The pool is not a restroom and should not be used as such.
9. Every person swimming in the pool must wear a bathing suit.
10. Members and their guests are expected to throw away their garbage and cigarette butts in the provided receptacles so that the pool deck can be kept clean.
11. There will be a rest period of 10 minutes every hour for all swimmers under the age of 16. Any persons younger than the age of 16 years in the pool during rest period are subject to disciplinary action. Children who are non swimmers under the age of 4 may be in the pool during rest period if accompanied by an adult.
12. Profanity, vulgar remarks, or disrespectful comments are not tolerated.
13. Disciplinary actions will be handled by lifeguards in the following way:
a. 1st Offense: The rule is explained and the individual is given a warning
b. 2nd Offense: 10-minute timeout
c. 3rd Offense: Swimmer will be asked to leave the pool for the day
14. There shall be no swimming in the deep end when kids are using the slides. If there are no kids using the slides, the lifeguard on duty must give swimmers permission to swim in the deep end of the pool. Swimmers must also ask the lifeguard on duty for permission to play water games in the deep end when the slides are not being used.
15. After playing in the sandbox and the playground area, all kids must wash off using the provided hose before entering either pool.
16. Balls may be used in the grassy area and in the pool at the discretion of the lifeguards on duty.
17. All flotation devices used in the pool must be approved by a lifeguard.
18. Glass containers and glass bottles are not allowed in the pool area at any time.
19. There shall be no horseplay in the pool at any time.
20. There shall be no hanging on the basketball goal or dunking from the side of the pool. Any height adjustments need to be done by the lifeguards.
21. Only one person is allowed on each slide at a time. The next person in line must wait at the bottom of the stairs until the person ahead of them has gone.
22. In the event of thunder, all swimmers will not be allowed to swim for 20 minutes. In the event of lightning, all swimmers will not be allowed to swim for 30.
23. All kids in the baby pool must be supervised by an adult. No children over the age of 6 will be allowed to swim in the baby pool.
